The release of Windows 10 brings about some nifty features that many wished at the rollout time would be available to smartphone devices as an alternative to iOS’ SIRI. Now, that wish has come true as Microsoft officially launches Cortana on Android and iOS devices.

As you may know, Cortana is touted as a help assistant that FINDS things on your device as well as manage your calendar, chat with you, tell jokes, track packages and much more. While some may compare Cortana directly to SIRI, which is exclusive to iOS devices, Cortana is more of a multitasker or companion that may replace your keyboard in some aspects.

Cortana comes about as a personal digital assistant. Cortana can do clever things such as redirect missed call alerts, send a text back to let someone know you will call them back and other tasks.

While Cortana touts many features, some of them are exclusive to certain operating systems, such as on Windows Phone Cortana can perform just about all of its features – as you would guess.

The videos below show a demonstration on Android using Cortana, including a comparison to SIRI and Google Now.
